Nestled in Houston, our machine shop has multiple lathes of varying sizes allows us to transform a wide range of raw stock materials into your unique parts. Our capabilities include:

• Turn pieces up to 8' between centers
• Pass through chucks allow for up to 3" diameter shafts
• High accuracy Digital Read Outs on each machine
• A dedicated lathe for "rough-in" cast parts

Each lathe is equipped with multiple chucks and tooling necessary to machine your parts to the required tolerance specifications for your metal working needs.

Our vertical and knee mills have the tooling, vices, tables, and accessories to manufacture unique parts. Our capabilities include:

• Complex angles machined accurately and quickly
• Tooling available for large sized stock
• Precision keyway capability
• Metal Fabrication

Smith & Burgess Fabrication has established contracts with Houston based suppliers that stock materials for all your metal fabrication needs. Any desired metallurgy is readily available, and certificates of metallurgy can be provided. 

Along with our full-service machine shop, we can provide storage for your spare parts or equipment in a climate-controlled environment. Pallet/pipe racks are available for lease in our secured dedicated warehouses.
